EATCS honours three outstanding PhD theses with the EATCS Distinguished Dissertation Award for 2016

EATCS is proud to announce that, after examining the nominations received from our research community, the EATCS Distinguished Dissertation Award Committee 2016, consisting of Giuseppe Persiano (chair), Elvira Mayordomo, Dale Miller, Jaroslav Nesetril, Damian Niwinski, David Peleg and Vladimiro Sassone, has selected the following three theses for the EATCS Distinguished Dissertation Award for 2016:

•    Vincent Cohen-Addad: From Practice to Theory. Approximation schemes for clustering and network design
•    Mika Göös: Communication Lower Bounds via Query Complexity
•    Steen Vester: Game-based verification and synthesis
